song of the day: eedl – spectrum

From mr. doob I found out about mr. Miguel Eedl. There doob releases JavaScript experiments every now and then, writes about that in his blog and is obviously a demoscene-nerd! 😀

One simple but nice JavaScript demo 3D Waveform (HTML5) shows the waveform of one eedl song.

At one lovely evening at the pc I finally clicked on that link up there, listened to all the songs at eedl.es, then at his soundcloud profile. Listened up and down, picked some favorites.. and now I have it playing somewhat constantly.

Spectrum (look and hear above) has really taken a shine to me :]
haaaach this contrabass .. and all in all that crisp sound of the songs. Respect! I actually prefer phythmic music. Sound is secondary. Groove is essential.
Of course the eedl-sound won’t make a lot of asses shaking. Without that clear sound it’d be worth nothing. But I really like it somehow.

Short Story: Want a short link to a spot on google maps? Without a url-shortener service?

look it up at gmaps, get an about 200digit “link” from the upper right, throw away anything but http://maps.google.com/? the ll= and the z=-tags:

want a marker? Rightklick on a map and say “What’s here?”, get the link from upper right and do the same but with the q=-tag included:

For that I made a small Autohotkey script to use with ac’tivAid.:

song of the day: Grand Pianoramax – Blue Gold

hmmm… hmmm.. Ich kann euch hier leider gar nicht genau zeigen was ich fürn Song meine.: Na ok. Nen Sample gibts bei amazon. Aber der ganze Song is bei youtube nur in nich so dollen Live-Aufnahmen von weitem vorhanden…

Die Story geht eigentlich viel früher los: Auf einem meiner Lieblings-iNetRadios netmusique/flaresound lief mal ne Zeit lang JEDEN Donnerstag um die gleiche Zeit ein und dieselbe Radiosendung. Also die selbe Aufnahme! Ja, jeden Donnerstag! Ah ok.. kleine Recherche später: Das ganze war eine der Freefall-Sendungen von David Bassin. Vielleicht kriege ich ja auch noch raus welche genau…

Jedenfalls gibts in der Folge ne ganze Reihe sehr cooler Songs. Eben jener im Titel ist mir besonders eingefahren und ich hab das Ding die letzten Tag hoch und runtergelauscht.

Die Kombination von wirklich leckeren Orgel/Pianosounds, funkigem Schlagzeug und Rap find ich ja sehr angenehm. Um hier überhaupt ma was direkt zu zeigen. Gebt euch ma Showdown: Auch weil man da sehr schön sieht wie der Herr Leo Tardin an den Keys abgeht:

Die Version auf dem Album is aber cooler! Weil der Text nen anderer, und auch mehr “explicit” ist ;]

Update: Der oben genannte Herr Bassin hat vor nem Monat nen Schwung Sendungen zu Soundcloud hochgeladen: soundcloud.com/jazzbo51. Ich habs leider noch nicht durchgehört. Aber is sicher einiges Dabei! Viel Spaß.

Isn’t that a pretty clear 3/4 of a skull? Found at Oberbaumbrücke when I came back from Jimpster at the Watergate club. And right beside it: (really just recognised it) you can spot a horse with wings!! Or isn’t it a Unicorn? Ok, the horn is just greased backwards.

hauRuckIts2010 – a new mix! Finally!

At new years eve I somehow thought ok, I’m asked to bring some music… still 1,5h to go. Why not doing a mix? Said and done. Of course! it took much longer than planed. But now its here! Could be mixed a little better, here and there a little more tweaks.. but however. For the lack of time I’m actually pretty satisfied! :] have fun!

Btw: I’m just checking out the soundcloud-player. The free account there only has 120min but should be enough for now. And with the player and all the functionality on soundcloud its probably already much better than just uploaded mp3, or zip upto rapidshare or sendspace or whatever … Or someone got a better idea?

Update: The list had some mistakes before. I just fixed it. Well-behaved as I am I now linked all records to discogs and put them in my collection. The H Foundation-one I just added myself and uploaded pictures.

hauRuckIts2010 – eine neuer Mix! Endlich!

Am Silvesterabend dacht ich mir irgendwie: ok, ich soll Musike mitbringen.. Sind doch noch 1,5h Zeit. Warum nicht nen Mix machen. Gesagt getan. Hat natürlich! wieder wesentlich länger gedauert als geplant. Aber hier isser! Könnt sicher toller gemixt sein an manchen Stellen und hier und da noch nen bißchen getweakt.. aber was solls. Für die kürze der Zeit bin ich eigentlich sehr zufrieden! :] viel Spaß wünsche ich!

Die Liste weißt auch in den Links nochn paar Lücken auf. Die flick ich ma eben noch…

Btw: Ich probiere da oben mal den Soundcloud-Player aus. Der kostenlose Account da hat nur 120min Platz aber sollt vielleicht ersma reichen. Und mit dem Player und den ganzen Funktionen auf soundcloud ist das schonmal besser als einfach bei mir raufgeladen oder als zip auf rapidshare oder sendspace oder was auch immer fürn Quatsch… Hat vielleicht jemand noch ne bessere Idee?

Update: Ich hab jetzt artig alle Platten bei discogs in meine collection eingetragen und hier richtig verknüpft. Die H Foundation hab ich eben noch selber angelegt und Fotos hochgeladen.

Mit großartiger Hilfe (von Claudi und Karl-Heinz) hier nun ein besonders dicker Schuh-Beitrag.

Die Resonanz auf die letzten Schuhe “Schuhbidoo” war auch durchweg positiv und nach einem ersten WTF!? hat auch jeder verstanden worums mir dabei geht: Die Schuhe stehen ohne zu erkennenden Grund in der Gegend. Man kann nicht erahnen wie es dazu gekommen ist. Man muss sich die Geschichte komplett selbs zusammenreimen.

Deshalb suche ich auch nicht nach Schuhen die irgendwo hochgeworfen wurden wie man es vielleicht von den Simpsons oder Big Fish kennt. Man kann sich ja leicht vorstellen, wie jemand nen paar Schuhe irgendwo hoch wirft. Die Vorstellung drängt sich bei bei so einem Bild automatisch auf. Hier hingegen ist jede Geschichte im Kopf neu. Viel Spaß!
